PET POCKETBOOK ONBOARDING STEPS

We use PetPocketbook to manage scheduling, communication, and payments. The platform allows you to easily book services, receive visit updates, and manage your account all in one place.

Creating Your Account

  1. Submit Your Email
    Send us the email address you’d like to use for your client portal.

  2. Check Your Email for a Verification Link
    You will receive an invitation email from PetPocketbook.

  3. Create Your Password
    Follow the link in the email and create a secure password.

  4. Download or Access the Platform

  5. Log in using your email and password to access your client portal.

Setting Up Your Profile (First Time Login)

Once logged in:

  1. Complete your contact information

  2. Add your pet’s profile

    • Name

    • Breed

    • Age

    • Behavior notes

    • Feeding instructions

    • Veterinary information

  3. Add any important care notes we should know before visits.

Adding Your Payment Method

To ensure smooth scheduling and billing:

  1. Go to Settings or Billing

  2. Select Add Payment Method

  3. Enter your credit or debit card information

  4. Save your card to your account

Payments will be processed through the secure system after services are completed.

Billing Cycle:

  • All bills go out the following Monday

  • You will only be charged for services that have been marked complete and have a report card submitted

  • You can turn on Auto-Pay to be automatically charged on Monday after the week of completed services 

Scheduling a Walk or Service

  1. Log into your account.

  2. Go to the Schedule section.

  3. Select Request Service.

  4. Choose the date and time you need.

  5. Select the type of service (walk, visit, training session, etc.).

  6. Add any notes or instructions for that visit.

  7. Submit your request.

You will receive a confirmation once the request is approved.

Scheduling Notice:

  • Please schedule between Friday – Sunday the week prior, or earlier

  • This helps secure your dog’s spot and keeps scheduling clear and organized

Last-Minute Booking Policy:

  • Appointments requested after 12:00 PM the day before the scheduled service will incur a $15 late booking fee

  • Last-minute bookings are not guaranteed and are subject to availability

  • Booking in advance is strongly encouraged to secure your preferred time, ensure proper scheduling, and avoid additional fees

Cancelling or Rescheduling a Visit

If your schedule changes:

  • Log into your account

  • Go to Your Scheduled Services

  • Select the visit you need to change

  • Choose either:

    • Cancel Visit

    • Edit / Reschedule

  • Confirm the change

  • We will approve the change request or reach out to you if we need to make adjustments

Please follow the cancellation policy provided on our website.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations made the day before the appointment incur a 50% charge

  • Cancellations made the same day incur a 100% charge

  • Cancel early to avoid fees and give other clients the chance to book your spot 

Before & After Each Visit

Before the Visit:
To ensure clear communication, a team member will always message you prior to entering your space and/or upon arrival when they reach your pet.

After the Visit:
You will receive a visit report card including:

  • Photos/videos of your pet

  • Notes from the visit

  • Bathroom, food and water updates

These updates will appear directly in your client portal.

Messaging

You can send messages directly through the platform if you have:

  • Updates about your pet

  • Schedule changes

  • Questions about services

Tips for a Smooth Experience

  • Keep your pet profile updated with any medical or behavioral changes.

  • Submit service requests in advance when possible.

  • Make sure your payment method is up to date.
